Like when you need to run down a long hallway with a low ceiling.
Or they're casting munchikins in the Wizard of Oz.
Pregnancy however is not one of those times. When you're pregnant it really stinks to be short. What stinks even more is being pregnant and having large babies. I'm not looking forward to being mistaken as a circus act who ran away.
Here's a picture of me from a formal event I went to back in late November of 2007. I believe I'm about a week and a half into my pregnancy at this point. Keep in mind my husband took the picture and he's way taller than I am so it makes me look even shorter. I'm actually 5' 4.5" tall.
I'm a nice size 4. Comfortable and in decent shape. I did a lot of running this past summer, and I eat right... I feel good about my body image.

In one month I went from my nice size 4 to a size 14! I took these pictures just about an hour ago. Yes, I'm 11 weeks along, and I'm already wearing maternity pants.
It's shameful! No matter what I do I'm going to gain about 60 lbs with my pregnancy and I'll get so big around that most of the XL maternity clothes won't fit. My lucky sister in law, who happens to be 6 ft tall, never purchased a single maternity clothing item. She was able to wear lowcut regular jeans and the fashionable empire waist tops. I only wish!
Please don't get the impression I am upset I'm pregnant. I'm very happy to be having a baby and what that will mean to my family. And I am totally willing to sacrifice my body and sleep to get there, and I am very happy that I have the ability to get pregnant and carry a baby. I know not every women is so lucky and would give anything to be in my shoes.
Some women love how they feel when they are pregnant.
They must all be tall.

Too funny Cam...I'm in between short and tall and I loose so much weight while I'm sick that I weight about the same at the end as when I started...but I have to wear comfy clothes from about 6 weeks just because I can't stand any pressure on my tummy. (felt the babies move for the first time last night!)

Okay, so I have to mention that I am one of those people that loved being pregnant and yes you have seen how tall I am. I have a friend that is also not very tall and gets HUGE when she is pregnant. I do feel for you guys a lot.

Oh Cami, you still look fantastic. I actually think you look like you are glowing! I am one of the tall people too, 6.1 to be precise. Yes I love being pregnant but if anyone knows how much goes wrong for me it's you. I hear tall people are more likely to have pelvic instablitly, if that makes you feel any better. Short people look better waddling than tall ones... I am the one that looks like a side act at the circus. But you have all my sympathy!
hi you have no idea who i am but i love the pfp creations and i read your blog just now and feel better about myself. Im into my third pregnancy and i'm 14 weeks prego and im wearing maternity pants to. Ohh it just going to get worse from here. ohh well. Im 5'4" as well. It must be because we are short.
