My sweet Noah

This morning while I was checking my email, Noah came in and sat down at the other computer to check his email. He asked me, " Mom, now do you spell 'hi'?" So I told him. a second later I got an instand message pop up. Here's the conversation that ensued.

Noah is my sweet sensative boy. He makes me wanna smile all the time. This convo with him totally made my day.

What a sweety~

I Love you Noah!

Little Boys with Puppy Dog Tails

Jennica and Aaron came to me this morning and asked if they could go play outside. They're stir crazy from being in the house all winter. I said sure, as long as they put on coats and shoes. The weather has been, BETTER, but still cold in the mid 50's. Today is no exception. Anyway, I went to call them in for lunch and this is what I see.

Can I just say oh my cuties! Aaron is wearing a old puppy dog halloween costume that's way to small for him. I made it a when Noah was about 4 and we just found it this fall. Aaron loves it. Before he went outside he got into the Quick powdered chocolate milk mix, so the costume is a mess, but he still looked so dang cute jumping up and down on the trampoline I had to go get the camera.

Andy really wants to get a puppy, now I can tell him we already have one! And it's way cute and already ((mostly)) potty trained. AND he can double for a little boy whenever we want him too! (Although, I've just been informed by Aaron, that he is not MY puppy dog, but Jeja's (Jennica's) puppy dog.)

When I first made this costume about 50% of the people who saw it thought Noah was a cow. Dude, whatever, it's a dog!

Just some pointless ranting.

I was just sitting in my office thinking about all the different project I intend to do, but never seem to get too. Either I don't have the supplies, or I'm just feeling to nauseas to get to it. It's a bit frustrating because I'm feeling so inspired and crafty right now, and I have so much free time that I feel is going to waste while I sit in bed or on the computer.

There are the curtains for the windows in the front room. I need some lovely rusty red duponi silk for those... about 10 yards should do it. And of course, I need a solution for a cat that likes to climb curtains before I even consider hanging new ones.

The bulletin board for the office. I want to do a variation of this bulletin board. I can't remember if the picture is from Pottery Barn, or Ethan Allen. All I need for this one is some thick quilt batting. Instead of one solid bulletin board piece I want to break it up with different sized rectangular pieces covered in coordinating fabric.

I also want to make some wedding invitation samples up for Pete and Courntey's wedding. But, I don't know yet if they want to make them, and I don't want to be too pushy.

I have a million ideas for great custom baby blankets, and loads of fabric to get started. I can sit at the sewing machine and sew alright, but getting the fabric sorted, cut and prepared is too much movement for me. Here's a picture of one of my blankets I made a while back. It's a variation on a technique called chenilling.

I also want to move all my scrapbooking stuff from the upstairs theater room down into the office, but first I need to build out a new desk spot, and shelving to hold everything.

I would love to make myself some new hip maternity clothes. I have some great vintage fabric I got from my great aunt, but I can't handle all the movement involved in cutting and fitting the fabric.

I could go on and on. There are painting projects, cleaning projects, organization projects, decorationg projects... I won't even get started on the state of my garage. It's a disaster.

I feel so frustrated. Usually life is so demand and time consuming to allow time for these seemingly essential, but non priority tasks. And now, here I sit, day after day, with way to much time on my hands, wondering how I'm going to pass another day of feeling to nausuas to even get myself ready for the day and thinking about more and more projects I would love to be working on.

I know I'm ranting. Sometimes I just do that. Helps pass the time.

I'm 15 weeks. Since I delivery early that means only 23 more weeks till my life comes to a compelete halt and my new focus becomes a lovely bundle of joy. All my projects will be completly forgotten till we're both sleeping through the night, and well rested. Hopefully between now and then I'll be able to get something done. It would be nice to mark at least one project off the list between now and then.

Again, I'm afraid I sound a little callous, and maybe a bit like I don't want my baby. It's not that. I just hate to be unproductive. I know I'm very busy right now growing a baby, but my hands are idle and it's making me crazy.

Am I the only one who gets to feeling this way when I'm pregnant?

Oh, Aaron!

Oh my word.

I was thinking I needed to post something today so ya'll don't get board and stop checking my blog. I just had my glucose test, so I was planning on blogging about that.

See, here's the lovely picture I took of the bottle before I drank it.

Vile stuff. Tastes like a melted Otter Popsicle with extra sugar stirred in. Anyway, I took the test a few days ago and still no word from the doctor so hopefully the results were normal.

Anyway, so back to the story... I hooked my prized camera, a Canon PowerShot A620, up to the computer to down load my lovely little pic of the glucose bottle. The camera's nothing special, but it gets the job done and I LOVE it. I wasn't top of the line or anything, but it cost a good amount of money. Anyway, I was expecing a really quick download because I had cleared the memory right after my last download, and I had only taken two pictures.

The download starts.... 77 pictures. What the... Oh Aaron!

Aaron is my little 3 year old and he had a grand old time playing a computer game in my office yesterday while I was having a pregnant icky moment. Apparantly, he also FINALLY was able to get his hands on my camera and give it a good try.

There were my two pictures, and then...

42 pictures of the computer monitor

14 pictures of the desk top

9 pictures that were so out of focus I can't tell what they are

5 "self portraits"

3 shots with his hand or finger over the lense.

2 leg pictures. Nice Camo jammies, huh.

Here's some highlights for your viewing enjoyment.

I AM glad my camera is well built enough that the only noticeable difference after Aaron's photo shoot is a dirty camera lense. I will however, be doing a better job to put the camera away and not leave it out on the desk in easy reach.
I'll keep these pictures forever so I can show them to him when he's grown and HIS three year old does something crazy with a piece of expensive electronic equipment. Oh, I love motherhood!

Where are the kids?

Noah just came over and had a long look at my blog complaining that there are just hardly any pictures of him. I said there were too, and then realized I had to go all the way back to 2007 posts before I actually foud any. Now I feel like a bad mother! So here's some pictures of the kids.

These pictures are from this morning. The kids have a large blowup boxing set that Santa brought. This morning they got it out and went to town!
And yes, Aaron is wearing no pants and his sisters shoes. Pretty typical daily attire for him.

This is one of the dinosaur puzzles Rick and Anne sent to Noah for Valentines day. He worked on it with Andy and they had to take some pictures just in case the dinosaur didn't make it through the night on account of Aaron or the cat.
I swear, regardless of what you see in the pictures, our kids are really not using drugs. They're so funny.

Breakfast!

With pregnancy, breakfast is one of my most difficult times. Since I haven't had anything to eat all night WHATEVER I have for breakfast tends to upset my stomache a little bit. I usually rely on good old Raisin Nut Bran, I just love those nut covered raisins, even though I doubt they're all that nutritious. This morning, we're all out of Raisin Nut Bran, there's just a small amount of granola left in the cupboard. That will have to do, but it's not enough to fill me up.

Andy is off work today. He ran to Lowes this moring to pick up a few things for some home improvment projects. (In all honesty, he went for lightbulbs so he can finally change the outside lights. But for Andy, this really is a home improvement project. I love him, but he's NO Ty Pennington.) After he got home the kids start asking for breakfast. So he made pancakes. I am SO glad he didn't listen to me and just make oatmeal because the pancakes SMELL SO GOOD. I wish I 'smell o vision' so I could share with you. Since I've had a little something in my stomache for a while, I'm not concerned about them making me sick. Yummy. I'm going to go beg some from him.

Then I'm going to go shower and get dressed and go to the grochery store for Raisin Nut Bran.

Pete and Courtney are getting married!!!

I am so excited! I was going to wait to post this till Pete emailed me a picture of him and Courtney together, but that could take FOREVER and I just can't wait that long. So I just have pictures of Pete from Christmas.

First is a picture of Pete with my Jennica girl, and second is Pete with my Aaron and Aaron's cousin Ethan.
I wish I had a picture of Courtney. She's an absolute doll! She's Beautiful. She's so friendly and down to earth. It's easy to see that she has a strong relationship with God and a desire to serve him.

The happy date should be near the end of April. I can't wait! I'm sure I'll be posting tons more and pictures of Courtney really soon.

Moscow Russia!

Andy's parents, Rick and Anne McClelland, recieved their mission call yesterday. They are off to the Moscow, Russia mission in late June of this year! Senior missionary couples tyically serve for 18 months. We're sure going to miss them!

We're so excited and apprehensive for them all at the same time. Rick and Anne can best be described as heat lovin' Texans. Anne especially was hoping the call to serve would be to anywhere but someplace cold, however they will be happy to serve anywhere they are needed, that's just the kind of people they are. They are amazing and I'm sure the people of Russia will grow to love them as much as they will grow to love the people of Russia.

The picture is of St. Basils and it is from the Moscow daily shot blog, which you can visit by clicking here.

13.5 Weeks Pregnancy Pictures

I took more pictures last night of my ever expanding bump.

I really like this shirt. I still feel pretty and in it, which is not something I feel very often right now.

Sorry for the picture quality.

Enjoy!

What color are you?

What's Your True Color?
Interesting. I haven't been feeling particularly green lately since I've been sick so much lately I feel much more like a burden than the helpful person described below.
My Result: Green
Take this test!
You're green, the color of growth and vigor. Good-hearted and giving, you have a knack for finding and bringing out the best in people. Green is the most down-to-earth color in the spectrum — reliable and trustworthy. People know they can count on you to be around in times of need, since your concern for people is genuine and sincere. You take pride in being a good friend. For you, success is measured in terms of personal achievement and growth, not by status or position. Rare as emeralds, greens are wonderful, natural people. It truly is your color!

Cruz Micheal Serra

On January 7th my brother and his wife had their first baby. He's beautiful and doing very well. So are mom and dad.

He was 9 lb even, and 22.5 inches long.

Kat looks incredable for having had a baby just a little over 3 weeks ago.

I love being an aunt!
